Woodson To Kentucky

On signing day, Kentucky got a unexpected recruit, from the 2004 Class.

This recruit enjoyed a stellar career with the Wildcats, passing for 9,360 yards and a school-record 81 touchdowns. He led Kentucky to back-to-back bowl appearances as a junior and senior and broke Florida quarterback Danny Wuerffel’s single-season Southeastern Conference record for touchdown passes, throwing 40 in 2007.

Former University of Kentucky quarterback Andre Woodson confirmed via text message Wednesday that he is returning to UK as a student assistant coach.

“I’m excited to be coming back,” Woodson said in the text.

He will work with the Wildcat quarterbacks and should be a major asset in the development of Newton, Smith and newly signed Cobbins.

Welcome back Andre….

Go Cats!!!
