Georgia At Kentucky: Post Game Interviews

The Cats take down Georgia and get revenge from an earlier lost to the Dawgs. UK played an incredible first half and basically hung on in the second half to take a 66-60 win, securing their fourth SEC win in their last five games.

Here are some quotes from Coach Calipari

When asked about teaching kids toughness?

“Ive seen nice guys that their boxers. What a wonderful guy that is until they step in the ring and he’s trying to rip the guys face off. I mean football players, I have friends that are NFL football players. The nicest people you’d ever meet.” said Calipari.

“I just wouldn’t want them to tackle me. I mean you can be the nicest guy in the world. Have a great heart be a generous person,” Calipari said, “but when its time to battle and fight, you fight, you battle. The biggest time to do it at crunch time when the games in the balance.  And so were learninhg from that.”

Calipari reiterated what he said earlier. “I like my team, Ill say it again, we’ve got more upside on this team then any team in the country.”

On Terrence Jones, “I told Terrence, you should be the best player in the country and I’m not backing off that statement. I’m not backing up off you. You should be the best player in the country. Go play that way. Go drive that ball. Go rebound every basket defend how he defends.”
