Tee Martin Named “Passing Game Coordinator” For UK

Before the Kentucky – Georgia game today, UK Head Football Coach Joker Phillips made an announcement pertaining to wide receivers Coach, Tee Martin.

Here’s an excerpt from John Clay’s article.

Phillips announced that Martin has been promoted to the “passing game coordinator” and has received a contract extension and raise, but would not discuss specifics of a new contract for the former Tennessee quarterback.

With the new position, Martin would be responsible for passing game schemes and would head up passing drills in practice.

Martin said that while he was contacted by a couple of schools  (One was rumored to be Alabama) to see about possible interest, the coach said he never interviewed with another school for another position.

If the Alabama rumor had any legs, then this is a bigger win for Joker then we may ever know. Either way, locking in Martin with a promotion and an extension will continue to pay dividends for the Cats, especially in the area of recruiting.

Phillips called Martin “a relentless recruiter.”

Go Cats!!!
