Kentucky On Top Of The Week 13 Power Rankings

Thirteen weeks are in the book and Kentucky finds itself in a familiar place, on top of the SEC Power Rankings. Here’s the Kentucky excerpt from this week along with the entire SEC ranking.

1. No. 14 Kentucky (15-4 overall, 3-2 Southeastern Conference)
Looks like when Coach Calipari isn’t chewing out freshman forward Terrence Jones, things work out fine for the Wildcats. This past weekend, the ‘Cats picked up their first road SEC win against a decent South Carolina team. This coming weekend, UK gets another shot at Georgia at home having lost the first matchup. The Wildcats currently have the third longest active winning streak at home in the country and freshmen Terrence Jones and Brandon Knight are both in the top five in scoring in the SEC with 18.3 ppg and 17.6 ppg, respectively. The future looks bright for Kentucky fans.

2. No. 19 Vanderbilt (14-4, 2-2 SEC)

3. No. 24 Florida (15-4, 4-1 SEC)

4. Georgia (14-4, 3-2 SEC)

5. Tennessee (12-7, 2-2 SEC)

6. South Carolina (12-6, 3-2 SEC)

7. Alabama (12-7, 4-1 SEC)

8. Mississippi State (10-8, 2-2 SEC)

9. Arkansas (12-6, 2-3 SEC)

10. Ole Miss (13-7, 1-4 SEC)

11. LSU (10-9, 2-2 SEC)

12. Auburn (7-12, 0-5 SEC)

Up next for Kentucky, the first revenge game, as Georgia will visit Rupp this Saturday at 4:00pm. The game can be televised on ESPN.
