2011 Kentucky Basketball Recruit – Ky Madden

Ky Madden

VIDEOS HERE – Ky Madden in action

For most Kentucky fans, Ky Madden’s not a household name. In fact, most Cat fans have probably never heard of the6-4, 170 lb Point Guard out of Arkansas.

Madden is one of eight Top 30 Players of the 2011 Class that has the name Kentucky listed in their school of interest and one of five of those eight who have received a scholarship offer to come play basketball at the University of Kentucky.

the five Players who currently hold an Kentucky offer but have yet to commit to any school is (2) Quincy Miller, (4) LeBryan Nash, (18) Adonis Thomas, (19) Ky Madden and (26) Tony Wroten Jr. of the five, he has probably received the least amount of attention, but don’t let that overshadow his all out ability.

Here’s what the scouts have to say about Ky |

ESPN | Madden is a terrific athlete that is an excellent scorer. He is developing as a point guard although he is a natural scorer and does a great job making plays at the end of the clock or when the game is on the line.

Scout | Intent on becoming a point guard and he should get there. What we like is that when needed, he can switch into “scorer” mode and get it done. Long body, high character. High-major player.

Rivals | Talking about Madden’s play in his most recent tournament, “Any time the Indiana Elite defense gave Ky Madden a sliver of space it was two points Arkansas. Madden has the ability to asses the defensive look and seemingly score in whatever way he needs to inside the arc.” Ky was named first team All-Tournament along with UK recruits Quinn Cook and Adonis Thomas.

Coach Calipari continues to recruit and ink the top Players in the Nation. This is one that I will actually get to see first hand and provide some additional insight, as long as he stays on the Big Blue possible list.
