VIDEO | Best Case – Worst Case – Kentucky Football 2010

Chris Low of ESPN discusses his thoughts on the 2010 Kentucky Wildcats under Joker Phillips first season.

Here are some quick excerpts:

  • Four straight bowl games in a row. Only four other SEC teams have accomplished this over the last four years. LSU, Alabama, Florida and Georgia. Some great company.
  • He praises Joker Phillips and says he is a heck of a recruiter and a heck of a guy and has hired a lot of good talent in the Assistant Coach’s role.
  • Best Case Scenario – 7-5 in the regular season.
  • Worst Case Scenario – 5-7 in the regular season. Concerned about the defense and if those large holes can be filled.
  • Says the one-two punch of Cobb and Locke may be the most under rated one-two punch in the country.

This is the year when Kentucky will end the Tennessee streak. I know, we have said it now for four or five years in a row. Gosh, it has to happen sometime doesn’t it? And this is the year…

They get Tennessee, in what should be another down year. The belief of this UK team is that they can and should win games, even to the point of talking about winning the SEC East. I don’t see that in this years team but I can see a UK victory over UT in Knoxville and a silencing of Rocky Top… PLEASE!!!
