The Next 32 In The Tournament

Since the NCAA has decided to potentially pursue expanding the current Tournament field from 64 to a mind staggering 96, we thought we would hunt down another writers opinion on who the additional 32 teams would have been, if the expansion was in place for the 2010 tourney.

Let’s be truthful with each other. The one thing we wanted the NCAA to fix with the tournament was the number of teams. 32 more mediocre teams that will obviously raise the bar of excellence and create excitement unparalleled in college sports.

More excitement, intrigue and Joe Lunardi’s Bracketology. The best thing about the 32 team expansion is the opportunity to laugh at the poor souls who are stuck on the “First Four Out” list.

Virginia Commonwealth



So I wonder how many years it will be now before a 16 seed defeat a 1 seed? Hum…
