SEC Quotes of the Day…

Bruce Pearl on the Kentucky dominated crowd:

We’re going to try to defend our home territory … And I understand that we’ve got some wonderful visitors from the north that are probably, they rival Tennessee as the greatest basketball fans in the country.

UKBBN Point of View | Obviously Mr Pearl is getting his Tennessee fans confused with those who show up for the Lady Vols games. When UK recently played at Tennessee, they couldn’t even sell out Thompkins-Boling Arena. In fact, I remember seeing two or three UK fans sitting mid court, bought row 15. The tourney is in Nashville (Which is in Tennessee) and the crowd is once again 85% UK, and if the tickets were available, they would be 100% UK. Wake up Bruce… UT fans will never compare to The Nation…

Wayne Chism on how to beat Kentucky:

Teams probably get scared to play these guys, but obviously when you go out and play someone bigger and better on your schedule, you just come out and play basketball because that’s one thing you know how to do … You come out and play different than what you usually do, it’s going to be a big mistake.

Patrick Patterson on UK’s 3-point shooting woes:

We know we’re not a 3-point shooting team … Defense, rebounding, transition offense, that’s what we’re best at.

Ashley Judd outside the UK locker room:

I’m waiting for (John) Wall.

Wayne Chism on the game against UK on Saturday:

We’ve got to be really focused because they are going to have the whole arena … You saw that today when they played. They had the whole arena. So we’ve got to come out and be really patient.
